Security is a huge problem
I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of attention to security at Phoenicians Apartments. Over the past couple of months, five garages have reportedly been broken into and robbed, and on one night, two brand-new cars had their wheels stolen. These are serious incidents that should not be happening at an apartment community where residents expect their property and safety to be protected.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is that the security cameras appear to be fake,... nonfunctional, or otherwise not providing any meaningful security. The gates are also constantly broken, making it far too easy for unauthorized people to enter the property.
Meanwhile, management seems to be prioritizing cosmetic projects. Buildings are being painted and pavement that was already perfectly good is being replaced, while the growing security problems remain unresolved. Improving the appearance of the property is fine, but security should be a much higher priority when residents are dealing with repeated break-ins and vehicle theft.
Residents deserve working security cameras, properly functioning gates, adequate lighting, and a serious response to the repeated thefts occurring on the property. Until management addresses these issues, I would strongly urge prospective residents to think carefully about the security situation before choosing to live here.
