Almaden Lake Village

I really want to love living here. The location and apartment are great, but I just don't feel safe. I've been here two months and already the mailboxes have been burglarized twice and yesterday, my neighbor's car was broken into in the garage. The property managers refuse to implement basic security, like cameras.

Almaden is the best apartment complex that I've lived at. I had to move for work, but it's in a great location near the lake and near the Oakridge shopping mall. Whole Foods, Trader Joes & Costco are a few minutes away which was a huge convenience for me. The staff was always friendly and maintenance did great work quickly.

My apartment is quite outdated with tacky floor boards, old kitchen counter top and a shower/tub that seems like it is a separate piece and not apart of the wall...you can push on the shower wall and it gives way like plastic. The drains clog so easily, as well. And the walls are paper thin you can hear everything above you and beside you.

Its a nice area to live with the lake next door and the mall down the street the only issue is the new management.

Almaden Lake Village is an oasis amid the hustle and bustle of San Jose. Across the street from Lake Almaden, scenic mountains in panoramic views, running/biking trails and parks in close proximity. Landscaping in the common areas is lush. Feels relaxing and remote - but so conveniently located to shops, VTA and major roads.
