There’s specials for a reason, that’s the gag. Roach infestation.

Probably because we’re so close to the water but no efforts made by management to combat it. $500 and they could easily get poison and roach bc off Amazon for the whole complex and haven’t. I as a renter should not be having to spend my own money trying to kill and keep out bugs around the building. If you step out at night into the grass and turn on your flash about 10 roaches will scatter. And somehow all of them will find... their way inside despite being upstairs and no matter how cleanly you are. No exaggeration. It’s what’s led me to leave this review regardless of the other negative experiences I’ve had because I became so grossed out. Roaches cause allergic reactions and I have a healthy child who seemingly is always sick now after moving here. I’m afraid for him to even lay in his own bed or put my own against a wall. The balcony’s aren’t up to code. They get rained through from the top! If I step outside onto the balcony I’m pretty sure they’re supposed to be covered and waterproof that I won’t get rained on. All our things outside were constantly getting soaked through and we had to throw it all away bc they got mold on them, and of course underneath our items.. were tons of roaches. There’s plenty of minuscule issues we have in our unit that we just live with because we feel they won’t get resolved. AC isn’t consistent through out the home, one room feels like a sauna. Doors locks that don’t lock. The faucets and showers stay leaking. The toilet water spills over outside of the tank every single flush, the floor and everything near the toilet stays wet. The floor is so thin I can hear every single step my upstairs neighbor takes that I know their schedule now.. and they have a kid. It’s really a shame because the space inside is a lot, the surrounding areas and the lake are beautiful to walk.

AC has been broken for several weeks. It's "going to take awhile" is what I was told after I had to go down to the front office to ask about it because they canceled my maintenance tickets, ignored my online form fills (which they told us to use because the phone line is down again), and went dark on me. I said this was unacceptable and they needed to provide some other solution because it is going to be almost 90 DEGREES all next week. Was told they "might have a portable AC unit" and that they... would drop it off. It's been several days and no AC unit, and nobody will respond to me again. I have been a valued customer at this location for 2 1/2 years going on 3 in September. However, I am disappointed with their level of professionalism and ability to get maintenance requests handled. My apartment has been out of AC for three weeks and have had the run around about when to fix it. We have been constantly running fans increasing our power bill with no rent concession. I called to speak with Marquis, one of their staff members, I asked him if he would sit in a heated apartment for... three weeks and he responded by saying, "no because he would just take himself to the beach. I like the heat." We recently moved in and encountered several maintenance issues that haven’t been resolved promptly. Lightbulbs were out, drains were clogged (including the dishwasher filter, which had cat hair and wood chips), and the microwave emits a burning smell instead of heating food. Most concerning, the washer and dryer outlet doesn’t work, leaving us unable to do laundry.

Despite submitting an emergency maintenance request, it was marked as routine, and we’re still waiting for a resolution. We are... having to deal with poor conditions with no end in sight due to the lack of response to critical maintenance requests regarding basic quality of life, health, and safety. If you’re considering living here, be prepared for potential delays in addressing maintenance concerns and having to put up with sub-par conditions for indeterminate amounts of time. The price is commensurate with the quality, as it's an older property (1967). I'd suggest getting a top floor unit, as the noise from above is quite loud just from walking around. Quez in the office is very polite and was forthright in answering any questions/concerns!
