Expensive apartments budget delivery

These apartments are very cheaply made. You are paying for nice counter tops and modern appliances but that's all. You'll still hear everything your upstairs neighbor does and if they are at all inconsiderate the leasing office won't do anything about noise complaints. We regularly get woken up late at night and early in the morning by our upstairs neighbors and the leasing office refuses to do anything about.

Current Resident

I would like to bring several concerns to your attention regarding the ongoing construction in and around the property. Construction truck noise begins as early as 6 AM ET, and these vehicles pass through the property on the road directly below my window throughout the day until 6PM ET. The construction noise is constant and significantly disruptive. Unfortunately, this early morning noise has exacerbated my sleep apnea, leading to severe migraines and vision issues, including floaters. This... will last for a long time, as the construction of a hospital is on the other side.

The microwave, stove, and refrigerator were not thoroughly cleaned, with visible residue and particles left behind. There are cracks in the bathtub and on the wall. The wall and floor are thin, and I can hear AC unit noise from the neighbors. And I see ants in my unit.

Lastly, a nearby neighbor has a large dog that barks intermittently, and I can clearly hear it from my unit. I'm uncertain about the property's pet screening policy, but I have noticed several large dogs on the premises, some of which have barked at people.

I have attempted to address this issue with upper management; however, I was redirected to the local property manager. After moving in, it took 11 days for the cleaning crew to re-do some cleaning and inspect the microwave. Upon their inspection, it was determined that the particles falling from the microwave were originating from within the appliance itself, and unfortunately, the cleaning efforts were ineffective. The property did replace the microwave the following day, and I finally received a properly functioning unit 12 days after my initial move-in.

is outside of our control, we recognize that early morning noise and increased traffic can impact comfort. We encourage residents experiencing excessive disturbance to connect with our management team so we can document concerns and explore any reasonable mitigation options available.

We also apologize for the condition of your apartment at move in. Our standard is to deliver each home thoroughly cleaned and carefully inspected. It is clear from your experience that we fell short initially. We appreciate your patience while the microwave issue was diagnosed and replaced, and we are glad that appliance was ultimately resolved. Concerns such as surface cracks, pest activity, and cleaning deficiencies should be addressed promptly, and we encourage you to submit any outstanding maintenance requests so they can be fully evaluated.

Regarding noise transfer and pet concerns, we do have community guidelines and pet policies in place. Reports of excessive noise or policy violations should be shared with the office so they can be reviewed and handled appropriately and confidentially.
