Indian Lakes Apartments

For some reason, my former review has mysteriously vanished from here, so I don't have a lot of faith in this site. I have lived here seven years and have been dealing with dog noise for the past 4-5 months, 5-6 days a week, every morning. I have not only requested that he receive a warning but I have provided a 5 minute recording of the problem. The general attitude from the staff here is that of "passing the buck" instead of actually caring about their tenants. I find this completely... unacceptable, especially for the time and money that I have invested in this place. All I want is for the neighbor to receive a warning about their dog and they can't do that, even with the proof I have given them. I've lived here for two years. Maintenance is quick and responsive within 24 hours. I have never had issues. Rent is affordable and utilities are cheap! I also love the location of downtown Mishawaka. Everything is a quick drive. I will always recommend Indian Lakes!

The office staff is great, but the apartments are outdated for the price. The paint jobs are horrible( very sloppy). Paint is in the toilet lid, broken trim, paint on window and carpet is horrible. During the e learning; they refused any other internet service and refused discounts to help their residents( that they “value” so much. The management staff is unfriendly and the grounds staff leaves debris everywhere. I would not recommend this complex to anyone. Their maintenance is horrible; they have an online filing system for maintenance that is as good a placing something in the trash. Calling them is hit or miss. To give you an idea, they have a sprinkler system that sprays water on your walls starting at 3:30 am every minute for 45 minutes and it takes them two weeks and multiple complaints to fix and then recurs every few months. The review below saying they fix maintenance issues in 24 hours is totally false.

Everyday, I'm excited walking into my apartment as if it's my first time here. I love coming to my Indian Lakes home. The grounds are peaceful and it's such a quiet environment. The community is incredibly diverse. You'd never know there's one of the busiest roads right outside the complex. It's calm, quiet, affordable and an overall great complex.
