I love Ann Arbor City Club Apartments-my second year here
Ann Arbor City Club Apartments is an ideal living environment for me. The building is clean and well equipped with a great gym, a Zen garden, and a rooftop bar. My apartment has fantastic light, and the kitchen is beautiful with modern cabinets, sink, and granite countertops.
Nicole, the sales agent is warm and professional; she was patient showing us around and explained everything so well. Ian, the head of maintenance, can (and does) fix anything and gets things done in a prompt, friendly... way; and is great in an emergency. Nathaniel, the manager, is upgrading the apartments’ culture and it feels warmer. Doing business with Nathaniel is like working with a trusted friend that is looking out for you. I highly recommend living in Ann Arbor City Club Apartments.

AVOID THIS APARTMENT!
First - the apartment building itself is beautiful. One of the nicest in Ann Arbor.
The management of this complex is a TRAIN WRECK. My son and daughter lived in this complex for 1 year. While signing the lease for the apartment, the leasing agent would take, go MIA, then come back and want docs immediately. The entire process was delayed by her failure to get back to us on multiple occasions. She even raised the rate during the process - but we just wanted to get the unit, and finally did. At... the end of the process, got a "how did we do" email - I was honest and detailed all the struggles. We were contacted and offered a refund on fees, probably so we wouldn't post anything negative.
Fast forward 1 year - my kids leave the apartment July 24, in perfect condition. It is now October 10 - and STILL no refund of security deposit. Repeated requests went ignored and unanswered. My daughter said she was going to involve legal services - yesterday was told the check would be cut today. She went to pick up the check today, and was now told it is cut in another location. I've had college kids in apartments in NYC, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, DC - and NOTHING has been the train wreck this group has been.
Yes, the building is beautiful - but good luck every getting help, or getting your security deposit back. Buyer beware. I would look elsewhere. Hopefully U Mich puts them on a do not rent list because they continue to fail to follow guidelines for rentals.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the building itself to be beautiful, but we’re truly sorry for the challenges you and your family faced during the leasing process and after move-out. Providing excellent service is... our top priority, and it’s clear that we fell short in your case.
Leasing Experience: We deeply regret the delays and miscommunication you encountered while signing the lease. This is not the level of professionalism we aim to deliver, and we’ll address this internally to ensure smoother processes for future residents.
Security Deposit Delays: We understand how frustrating it is to wait for a security deposit refund, and we sincerely apologize for the delay. We are reviewing our procedures to ensure deposits are processed accurately and in a timely manner, in compliance with rental guidelines.
Communication Concerns: Your feedback highlights areas where we need to improve, especially regarding responsiveness and transparency. We take these concerns seriously and are working to provide clearer communication and better support for our residents.
We appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention and assure you that your feedback will be used to improve our processes. If there is anything further we can do to assist, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our management team directly.
