The sound insulation is so poor that I can't rest well at all
If you value your sleep and mental sanity, avoid staying with this apartment. I have been here for only a week and already deeply regret my decision.
The soundproofing in this building is practically non-existent. Every morning at around 5:45 AM sharp, yes I can clearly remember the timing, I am blasted out of sleep by deafening thumping noises and heavy footsteps from upstairs. Because of the poor construction and complete lack of subfloor insulation, the upstairs neighbor's daily routine... sounds like heavy stomping directly inside my apartment. It causes the ceiling to vibrate. What's more I can clearly hear what the neighbor at upper floor talk about, it's just so clear even I am not interested in their conversation at all!!!!!!!
I have reached out to the management office multiple times and even provided clear audio recordings of the noise. Instead of taking responsibility for their building's infrastructure issues or offering a complimentary transfer to a top-floor unit, they chose to ignore my complaints, just keep asking me to report to them every time I hear the noise, and quoted generic policies to charge me a ridiculous fee to move.
The leasing office is only friendly until you sign the lease. Once you are in, you are entirely on your own with zero support. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!
