Horrible place to live
During our tenancy, we dealt with a persistent mouse infestation that resulted in 12 mice entering our apartment. Despite repeated reports and assurances by management that the issue would be resolved, there was never a lasting solution. Management ignored our emails and tried to put the blame on us despite us having a professional biweekly cleaning service. All they did was throw a trap in our apartment and belittled us for being afraid of a little mouse. This was a safety hazard especially... having an infant in the home. We couldn’t have maintained this apartment any better in such pristine conditions. It’s disappointing that they would try to shift the blame on us when they couldn’t do anything about the issue.
Management also scheduled plumbing work that required us to clear our belongings throughout the apartment and endure three consecutive days without water. We received little notice, no alternative accommodations were offered despite having an infant, and contractors repeatedly entered our home during rainy weather with muddy shoes. I had to run to the leasing office back and forth the get water to mix formula. The leasing office wasn’t open at 7 am when the contractors came in to do plumbing work and I had to go to the nearest gas station to use the bathroom because the bathrooms at the gym in the clubhouse were broken. I have never felt more helpless in my entire life. Management simply replied that this was the policy.
On top of all this, when we moved out, we received charges that we believe were unwarranted such as a replacement of carpet when they gave us an old carpet to begin with and we had before and after pictures showing that it looked exactly the same. They did not give us our safety deposit back but instead charged us more than the security deposit to the point where we owed more money to them when we did nothing wrong.
Our ceiling has leaked and fell to the floor on multiple occasions in the two years that we lived here. They gave us old appliances such as the laundry machine and dryer. It takes two hours for clothes to actually dry when you put it on the highest setting.
I was fooled by the walkthrough thinking that the place looked great in the model unit until I moved into the unit assigned to us.
The amenities are mediocre. Half the time they are not available due to maintenance.
Rent is increased every year by a significant amount. Overall, your voice will not be heard by management. They are absolutely rude and inconsiderate.
