Nice setting, not much else.
Since we have moved here....we had a mold problem in our kitchen, our apartment flooded in the spring so we had to move to a new unit recently. Since we have been in the new unit, the neighbors above jump around so much it caused our heavy light fixture to come out of the ceiling in our kitchen TWICE!! And most recently they are doing a roofing renovation and the contractor they are using is totally disregarding tenant safety. These are multilevel, multifamily dwelling units and the roofers are... tearing off old shingles and just letting everything fly off the sides of the roof to the ground. All the roofers did was lay down a blue tarp around the perimeter to catch the larger debris that was falling from overhead. Nothing caution taped or barricaded off for tenant safety . The walkway and front entrance to my building was blocked by tarps, old shingles, sharp debris and rusty nails. Workers were dropping debris off the roof above where tenants have to walk through. No workers were keeping the tenant walkways and entrances safe and Accessible or warming tenants for danger. And when I brought this matter to the property managers attention, I thought she would correct the situation. She did not. I swept our buildings entry way and cleared it of debris and nails so my kids and dog could walk through. If the property manager said anything to the roofers about caution tape/barriers or keeping tenant entrances safe, they did not listen to her. Not to mention the roofers are required to use a chute or net to discard shingles safely into a dumpster. They are not supposed to be letting everything just fall of the edges with no marked warnings for tenants below. I am disabled and my father is handicapped. We do not feel safe at this apartment complex and definitely do not trust the property manager, AT ALL. And while some of the maintenance crew is good, you have to constantly call them to fix things because of how old these apartments are. There is always some form of loud construction or renovation going on. I would not recommend living here, especially considering what they charge for rent for such old buildings. If my father wasn't handicapped and I wasn't disabled, and we had another place to go live, we would move out of here tomorrow!
