Living at The Cameron is great

Pros-- the staff is friendly and helpful but not overbearing. The welcome packet is actually welcoming and helpful. The location is great-- close to a grocery store, a block away from the streetcar, a super short walk to the train or a bus, close to the park blocks and the farmer's market. Security is about as good as it can get without a dedicated guard stationed in the lobby, which is nice. My apartment (1/1) is spacious, has ample closet space and kitchen storage. The nook for a desk area has... been clutch in a work from home situation. Bathroom is fairly large and I love that it's just a shower, not a shower/tub set up. The apartment comes with a washer/dryer and also has air conditioning (although not central air) although I didn't use it much this summer (I moved in in July). As for heat, I still haven't turned it on, but the main living area and the bedroom have their own thermostats, and you can program the one in the living room. Neighbors are all nice so far and there are a lot of dogs in the building! There is a gym and also a courtyard with a grill and seating. CONS-- the gym is minimalist. You can get in a workout but might have to be creative if you're really into lifting. Not the biggest fan of the treadmills and elliptical (they just seem kind of flimsy, but they function just fine-- there's also a bike that's great for a spin workout). The only other drawback as far as I've experienced is just that you can hear people walking around (I'm on the top floor) and bass really carries when people are listening to music, but overall everyone seems respectful of each other. If you own a car, there's no dedicated parking, so keep that in mind if you're moving in with a vehicle, but there's a bike share station right outside the doors and scooters are usually parked somewhere on the block.
