Not your ideal place to live.
My biggest concern was the move-out charges. I was billed for damages that I do not believe I caused, and in several of the photos they provided, I could not identify any damage or the conditions appeared to be the same as when I moved in. When I asked for an explanation of the charges, I did not receive a detailed breakdown. Instead, I was simply told that I had lived there for two years and that they were being "very lenient" with what they were charging me.
My advice to anyone considering... these apartments is to document **everything** before moving in. Take photos and videos of every room, every wall, the ceilings, floors, doors, appliances, cabinets, bathrooms, balconies, and even the entryway. I cannot stress this enough.
Communication with management was also frustrating. It was extremely difficult to reach the property manager, and when I tried to discuss my concerns with the assistant manager, I was repeatedly told that only the property manager could resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the property manager was nearly impossible to contact, making it very difficult to address questions or concerns.
The property itself also had recurring maintenance issues, the parking garage frequently left vehicles covered in white residue falling from the garage ceiling, which was an ongoing inconvenience.
One of the most uncomfortable parts of my experience involved a maintenance employee. When my air conditioning stopped working and he came to repair it, he made inappropriate comments toward me. I encountered him around the property, including in the elevator, where he made comments about me in Spanish, apparently assuming I would not understand. One comment that particularly stood out was, *"Esta güerita está muy buena."* That behavior made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe in my own home. At the time, I chose not to report it because I lived alone and was worried about possible retaliation or being treated differently if I needed maintenance services again.
All of these issues had accumulated into a very disappointing experience. I made every effort to leave my apartment clean before moving out. In fact, because of school commitments, I had to move out well before my official lease end date, which gave me additional time to clean the apartment thoroughly. Despite that, the move-out charges made it seem as though I had left the apartment in poor condition, which I do not believe was an accurate representation.
