Close Proximity To All!

The Good: I moved in during “Winter Rates” fall. So my price point is cheaper than listed during the summer. My unit faced the very busy street. With plenty of firetrucks flying by at all times. And plenty of people honking. I am being 100% on honest by saying yes, those sounds were irritating at times. But not enough for me to want to move out. I will say maintenance men here are incredible! And the property is consistently adding improvements. Fixing. Changing. Which is very nice to see the... parent company still
Willing to invest time on money for the property. The front desk staffer DOM has been the most helpful and sweet person ever! I have yet to have a personal issues with any staffer at The Shelby!! They updated all apt units locks to new improved key fobs(August ‘25), send out plenty of community emails the moment something goes wrong on the property or temporary services limited. Pool is well
Managed with lifeguard, however very small for my liking. But it’s got the job done with nice bathrooms 2 feet away for use while swimming. The gym inside is very nice and well maintained. I even canceled my PF membership due to the gym inside the property. Plenty of spaces for pets to do their business or walk around. 2x Small dog parks located around the big complex, the hallways are well maintained and quiet. Never had one complaint about my next door’s neighbors. Hallways are cleaned weekly by cleaning lady, same person that cleans inside commons areas. Property Added a very nice modern refrigerator vending machine in the lobby next to the package lockers with Amazon. I have always been told that the DMV has a very bad issues with car break ins or theft. I have yet to hear or see the issue in the gated garage. I am under 30 so I do go to the city late. When returning I have found a security guard inside the garage in his car. Parked facing the entrance of the garage. Which was a good sign. Complex provides Front door trash removal services nightly. The Shelby just finally implemented split payments on rent. 1st and 15th on the portal to allow tenants more flexibility to pay. I walk every time even though the buss stop is directly in front of the building itself. It is a 10-15mins very short walk to the Huntington Metro Station on the Yellow Line. straight shot down the road. No turns or hills. I love the location of this property. Practically same parking lot as the aldis that is less than a 2 min walk. Walmart is across the street. Plenty of food options
