DON’T!
Avoid moving here if you have any other option. Even if you don’t, I would not live here. The leasing team is great, but once you move in, you’re in for disappointment.
My wife and I have lived here for two years. It started out well but has declined significantly. Maintenance requests routinely take 1–2 weeks. Serious electrical issues, including flickering fixtures, broken fixtures, and outlets hanging out of the wall, are not handled urgently or resolved.
The water pressure is terrible,... especially in the showers.
Snow removal is atrocious. The contractor plows once, then nothing is done. Parking lots and driveways become ice-packed hazards for weeks, especially in shaded areas. Management essentially tells residents to deal with it because it is not legally required to do more.
Management changes policies and enforcement at will, sometimes with only 30 days’ notice, while tenants have no corresponding right to terminate their leases. Recent changes restrict garage use to parking only and prohibit vehicles equipped for outdoor recreation. Guest parking is now outside the community on the street. When my mobility-impaired, 70-year-old in-laws visited, they had to walk from the street through the complex to our apartment. Guests staying more than seven days must be added to the lease, and visiting friends or family with a dog may require an additional pet deposit and fee.
Management is intrusive. Maintenance “inspections” are used to investigate units for compliance, often while tenants are at work. The manager also photographs vehicle interiors to determine whether they qualify for parking. This does not make residents feel comfortable in their own homes.
The buildings have very poor sound insulation. You can hear neighbors closing doors and cupboards, walking, pets running, music, television, showers, toilets, and vacuuming. Air-conditioning compressors between buildings create constant mechanical noise near balconies.
The property is janky and about 25 years old. Vehicle and pedestrian access systems frequently fail, including access to the pool, hot tub, and gym. Entire flights of stairs are being demolished and rebuilt, creating months of daily construction noise. Nails and metal debris are left in driveways, parking lots, and landscaping, creating hazards for tires and dog paws. Landscaping is poorly maintained, with unhealthy grass, excessive watering despite restrictions, and rocks scattered across sidewalks and driveways.
