Jefferson at Dedham Station

I am really enjoying my residency here. I enjoy the quiet environment and native wildlife on the property. My apartment is spacious and well maintained. I am very happy to have amenities like a gym and pool at my disposal. The dog parks are an extra benefit for animal lovers like myself. The shopping mall in close proximity is another big ticket perk of living at Jefferson at Dedham Station.

I would not recommend this property based on our experience. We dealt with repeated boiler/heating-room leaks, dust/dirt contamination after maintenance work, and a vendor-related car damage issue. The bigger issue was management’s poor communication, delayed responses, and lack of meaningful accountability.

Major incidents:

September 10, 2024 — Car damage: Our car was damaged near a crane/vendor vehicle on the property. There were no cones or parking warnings. Management did not promptly... provide camera or insurance information, and we had to involve police before the issue moved forward.
June 17–20, 2025 — Dust/dirt throughout the apartment: After maintenance work, dust/dirt covered our bed, furniture, clothing, electronics, kitchen items, and food-related areas. We were not warned. The incident happened Tuesday, but proper follow-up cleaning was delayed until Friday.
October 31, 2025 — Leak #1: Water entered the apartment, walls were wet, and 1–2 inches of water accumulated in parts of the floor.
December 2025–January 2026 — Moisture/fungal growth: We reported fungal growth/mushrooms on a wall. The remediation process was unclear and dragged on.
February 25–March 3, 2026 — Leak #3: Water accumulated again. Loud industrial fans and dehumidifiers ran continuously for days.
March 9, 2026 — Leak #4: Hot water and steam escaped from the boiler/water-heater room and affected much of the living room.
March 29–April 6, 2026 — Leak #5: The same issue happened again and required wall, baseboard, insulation, drywall, and ceiling repairs.

What made it worse: the same leak happened five times, loud machines ran overnight, parts of the apartment were blocked off, furniture had to be moved, timelines were unclear, and we were not offered rent credit, a hotel, or meaningful accommodation.

Overall, these were not minor inconveniences. The repeated leaks, dust contamination, poor communication, and lack of accountability made the apartment difficult to live in. Read More

While there are some positives to living here, there are several ongoing issues that management needs to address in order to properly maintain the quality of the complex for residents.

First, the apartment gym is far too small for the number of people housed in the complex and the equipment is outdated. Expanding the gym space and updating the machines would greatly improve the experience for residents and better reflect the size of the community.

In addition, the outside appearance and... cleanliness of the property needs more attention. The dumpsters and trash chutes are frequently overflowing, often leaving trash piled up outside and in the hallways. More trash cans should also be placed throughout the complex, as the current ones regularly overflow and create an unpleasant environment.

Another major concern is the constant presence of bugs throughout both the apartments and the hallways. This has become an ongoing issue that should be addressed more seriously with consistent pest control and maintenance efforts.

Overall, the complex has potential, but management needs to invest more effort into upkeep, cleanliness, and amenities to match the amount residents are paying to live here. Read More
