7001 Arlington at Bethesda

Everything has been pretty smooth since we actually moved in, but our move-in experience was less than ideal, and our mailbox keys are still missing. And no one from management has followed up with us about either.

Nice Community. I’m extremely new, so far so good.

Great elevators, nice amenities, and management has been easy to work with so far.

I would recommend this apartment to others.

7001 is a rare property in Bethesda with a dedicated green space on the second floor that made it feel secluded from the rest of the city. Leasing was made easy by Damion who always went the extra mile to make things easier and make sure you were taken care of. Another huge pro about 7001 is the awesome maintenance staff. William the maintenance supervisor was always on top of not only community issues but also any issue that arose in the apartment. I strongly would not recommend moving into this building. While it may seem well-run on the surface, the leasing and management team is unorganized, unresponsive, and frustrating to deal with.

One of the biggest issues is their lack of proper communication, especially when it comes to lease renewals and rent increases. They failed to provide the required notice about a rent increase, and when they made an internal mistake in their system, they tried to back charge residents months later for... their own oversight. Instead of taking accountability, they blamed the residents—despite never leaving voicemails or including both leaseholders in important communications.

It’s also very telling that the positive reviews here don’t match what actual residents say in person. If you speak to people in the building, you’ll hear the same complaints over and over—poor management, bad communication, and unnecessary hassles. The disconnect between the online reviews and reality suggests that management is more concerned about their image with Bozzuto than actually improving the resident experience.

There are far better buildings in the area where management is actually competent and cares about their residents. Save yourself the frustration—don’t move here. Read More

The way the staff cares for the tenants here is extraordinary. William, our superintendent, stopped by to change the filter on our HVAC unit. He looked at the wood on our balcony, which was painted picnic-table red with much of the paint peeling. He told me he was going to order a wood replacement. The carpenters showed up, not long afterwards and now when I look out onto the balcony, I smile because it looks so much better, and I know it’s probably safer as well.
