Wendy started her Real Estate career in 2002 at Rowan Realty, a family business, and an integral part of her life since it began in 1964. Her aunt Harriet Rowan founded the company and served as its Broker until her mother took over in 2018. With Carole Zeilman's impressive sales record and over 50 years of experience, she learned from the best. Wendy was raised in Carle Place, attended the Carle Place Schools, and graduated as a salutatorian in 1972. After attending Duke University, she returned to Carle Place and received her master’s degree from Pratt Institute. Soon after, she married her husband Tom, a prominent litigation attorney who also serves as the Village Justice in Westbury. They have 3 children, Carole, Louis, and Francesca, and have lived in Westbury Gardens for over 40 Years. Wendy serves on the Board of Directors for the Westbury-Carle Place Chamber of Commerce, Westbury Arts, and is a member of the Village of Westbury Planning Board. She is committed to improving her community and helping people throughout Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens with all their needs. Wendy was recently awarded Long Island Businesswoman of the Year by the Westbury branch of the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce. Real Estate is more than a job to Wendy-it is her Passion! Since she became a realtor® in 2002, she has had the privilege to be involved in hundreds of sales and rentals. Her credentials include New York State Certifications for real estate broker, Commercial and Investment Real Estate Certification (CIRE), and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource® (SFR). To provide the best service possible, she keeps current with all real estate updates, market conditions, and the latest technology. Over the years, she has established relationships with mortgage bankers, home inspectors, building inspectors, attorneys, licensed plumbers and electricians, termite and mold remediation companies, expeditors, contractors, tag sale and removal experts, and other services that may be needed during the buying or selling process.
