Lived here 4 years as a student. Honest review

**Buildings:** Building 3 is the only one worth it — central air, attached garage, more civil neighbors. Avoid balcony units in Building 1; the sliding doors leak air, causing sky-high electric bills ($200-400/month in peak seasons) and poor air quality.

**Amenities:** Pool is fine but only open ~2 months/year. Gym is mediocre, no upgrades in 4 years despite promises. Dog park is neglected. On-site groomer is overpriced. Café is decent. Package security is better in Building 2 (stored behind...
desk) than Building 1 (open lockers, theft reported).

**Utilities:** Expect real overcharging — $50+ sewer, $20 trash, $50+ water, plus electric that spikes badly with air leaks. This is a common complaint, not just mine.

**Maintenance:** Hardworking but sometimes marks jobs done when they aren't. Poor coordination with the leasing office. I had a 2-month mice problem that only got fixed after I brought a live mouse to the office myself.

**Safety:** Gate is basically decorative — easy access for non-residents. No real camera coverage. My car's sunroof was smashed; I got a $25 garage credit against a $2,500 bill. Break-ins are common knowledge among residents. Get a garage if you're in Building 3; skip Building 2 entirely.

**People:** Mixed bag — some wonderful long-term residents, but also aggressive neighbors, unenforced rule-breaking (e-bikes indoors, smoking in stairwells, BB guns), and reports of shootings on property.

**Leasing office:** The biggest problem. Front desk staff are under-informed and can't answer basic questions; management rarely responds. They'll nickel-and-dime you on move-out — even one day early on keys gets you charged, and their weekday-only walkthrough system can trap weekend lease-enders into extra fees. Document every flaw at move-in for leverage later.

**Bottom line:** Convenient location, but the price doesn't match the management quality or upkeep. Real potential, undermined by a dysfunctional leasing office and inconsistent enforcement.

Seriously, look elsewhere.

My move-in was my absolute worst nightmare. My leasing agent showed me the wrong apartment with the wrong number of bedrooms. I am a student and I drove in a uhaul from another state to move in and was shocked to open the door to a studio apartment when I thought I was renting a two bedroom apartment.

The apartment that I moved into the next day had more than 7 dead German cockroaches, and in the week that I have been here I have found three more. For how expensive these apartments are, the...
quality seems to be lacking. This place seems to have an infestation of cockroaches due to poorly managed waste management and extremely poor upkeep and cleanliness of the basement and trash rooms in addition to poor tenant cleanliness.

It smells absolutely disgusting and trash is usually overflowing from the trash cans in both the basement and trash rooms. The only solution to this issue would be better common area maintenance and regular fumigations or other forms of pest control in each of the buildings. For the price we pay as tenants, it is the least of what we deserve.

The reason I am giving this two stars is because of how kind and welcoming the other tenants and concierges have been since I have moved in. The apartments look great when you are simply walking through or taking a virtual tour, but when you look closely at the baseboards and details of the apartment, it is clear that the 'renovated' apartments were cheap, quick jobs.

no communication

It has been super frustrating moving into this property. Andre specifically is an agent you would want to avoid. Heard from him once after we were approved for the apartment and he failed to respond to any of our multiple emails or calls. Just had a poor experience with him. We listed multiple issues that required immediate attention on the move in check list, and two weeks later no action has been taken like we were told there would be. Late last night I saw a baby (German) cockroach along with... an adult in the bathroom. The only reason I am leaving a 2 star rather than a 1 star is the space in the unit is nice. If I didn’t have to deal with or rely on the staff at this apartment I would leave a much better review.

Not a good place for students

In my 12 month stay at towers, there’s been multiple mice sightings and I’ve had to place over a dozen noise complaints. As a student who is partially online and therefore spends time studying at home, the environment at towers is not conducive to success. I’m very disappointed with my experience.

Please don't let the picture fool you!

I lived in the Towers at Wyncote for 19 months (2020-2021) in Tower 2 and it really did start off great. The staff is responsive, the location is ideal, apartment is spacious, and the gym fitness center is awesome! The only problems I had were the mice and the marijuana smell. There is a pest infestation problem. I know the buildings are very old, but the maintenance is subpar in this area for the amount of rent one will pay to stay in a “luxury apartment.” The marijuana smell was mainly from... the neighbors. Management did address it, but it was a continued issue throughout my time there. If you want peace of mind, I would not recommend this apartment.
