Stay away!

Lived here for a year then moved out after lease was up. Just got a bill for $915.32 for carpet replacement, and cleaning etc. paid non refundable deposit at signing of the lease.
Never used any maintenance while living there, never complained about all the weed smells around the apartment complex and noise from above unit. In my past experience with other apartments, they replace carpets and clean the units for new tenants to move in after it’s been occupied but they’re charging me for...
everything they need to do anyways? I’ve paid non refundable deposits at other apartments and that’s what the non refundable deposit is for, to cover for the after move out cleaning etc. Are they expecting tenants to keep the units like no one lived there? I will not recommend this apartment to anyone. I was down in Nashville for work and I didn’t have much choice since I couldn’t find availability elsewhere at the time, so even though it was in a rough part of town I had reluctantly moved in since it was only for the duration of my project. There was also construction of a new apartment right at the entrance of the road leading into the complex, which is the only road leading into the complex. There’s no traffic light and all the construction vehicles and their heavy equipment was parked on that road making it difficult to go in and out of the complex. It’s also very dangerous at night because there isn’t much light posts and it gets really dark. Someone was hit by a car at night on Dickerson pike right by the road leading into the complex while I was living there because it’s so dark.

It wasn’t too bad when I first moved in but I noticed a lot of my neighbors moving out and the new tenants that were moving in were loud and lots of kids being loud at night.

Steer far away from this place if you can help it. They did some exterior painting and changed locks to smart locks while I was living there so they can raise the rent. I’m in construction and everything is poorly done. Buildings are run down and need major renovation, not just paint
and smart locks to make it seem like they’re keeping up.

Brown recluses

Lived here for a year. Our apartment was infested with brown recluse spiders. At one point we had caught 30-35 in traps around the apartment, just from one week. Management had pest control spray several times but it really did not help much. The unit was also recently remodeled but the remodel was poorly done - the towel holders came off the walls, the AC didn’t work very well, and all the outlets had cracks around them. I do NOT recommend.

Constant Misinformation

Good luck dealing with this place and Freeman Webb as a whole. For half a year I was inquiring about a competitively price duplex. For MONTHS I was told I couldn't see it before applying because "it isn't ready. The mechanic isn't finish cleaning it". All they could provide were suspicious pictures that never showed the entire property, the closets, or even the bathrooms. When Leslie claimed it was finally ready, I set two appts to see the property and BOTH times she didn't tell me until I... arrived that it STILL wasn't ready or the mechanic wasn't there to do a tour. And then suddenly.....it was sold. Figures. Today I applied via the website for a 2BR unit on the actual Hillhurst Property, just to find out that the rate that was listed on the website is actually $200 less than the real rate. So I basically wasted my $35 for the app fee. When I called, all Leslie (the front desk lady) had to say was "we don't control the website, you should've spoke to me directly. I'm done with these people. IF you do decide to do business with them, be prepared to deal with inconveniences and constant misinformation. Freeman Webb, you owe me $35.
