Lakewood Manor Apartments

The neighborhood in and surrounding Lakewood Manor has increasingly become unsafe, lacks security, and has slow to no response from the local police. Lately (as of Summer 2021), there has been a string of car thefts, altercations, vandalism, racing cars through the neighborhood, loitering, smoking weed in the laundry rooms, and firework fires, to name a few, among other things. I constantly notify the Lakewood Manor Leasing Office and, more recently, the Lakewood Police. I recently called the... Lakewood Police on 07/21/2022 to address a belligerent person assaulting one of my neighbors, and the police told us there was nothing we could do and that this neighborhood "is getting worse." I’ve lived here for five years and the first three years were great. The staff was excellent, the property was constantly maintained and cleaned. The security gates worked, and the office staff responded super quick to any issue I may have had. There were no roaches, you could literally walk outside at 2 a.m. it was quiet and safe. That all changed when the Management changed as well as the staff. The security gates never work, there is constantly homeless people coming inside the property to... your door, they stopped cleaning like they should, the garbage overflows every weekend, and now there are roaches. The rent goes up every year but there are no upgrades for the cost of what you’re paying. There are already no amenities with this apartment property. People are constantly smoking weed and it comes into your house. People are constantly fighting at 2:00,3:00,4:00am very loud where you have to call the Lakewood Sheriff’s Dept. and ultimately they don’t do anything. Trust this info. They are there just to take our money ! They are very attentive until you pay the application fee. Then, they disappear and don't get the phones call and send an email back either.
I am moving to CA and I already facing several tricks and rude speech issues.

Do not move here. I moved to Lakewood Manor nine months ago, and in the past five months the community has completely fallen apart. The gate to enter our complex has been broken for months, the laundry units remain dirty and due to the doors being broken to them I’ve caught homeless people doing drugs and the you know what in there. Do not move here.

Next, a new resident moved in with his partner and they have had the police at their home at least once every two weeks. They are constantly... fighting and disturbing the peace and even though multiple neighbors have complained to property management and or called the police on them, property management has done nothing. Do not move here.

I wanted to talk to the director about my lease and if they could move me into another unit on site but before I could even ask he told me he couldn’t renegotiate my rent rate, even though that had nothing to do with what I wanted to talk to him about. Do not move here.

If you’re on the fence about moving here, or are attracted to the low rent prices, do yourself a favor and Do Not Move Here.

Property Management is horrible and does not care about you and the community is going downhill quick, DO NOT MOVE HERE. Read More
