Porto Bella Apartments

A 1 customer service I feel pretty good, knowing my management is taking care of me with urgency! They already follow up and go above and beyond and I appreciate that. I know if I need something I can call them, and that not always the case when leaving in apt. Keep up the great work!

This property is awesome. Amenity,layouts, and property as a whole is amazing. The management is very poor . There is ALWAYS a temp present no problems can ever be handled how they should because the on site manger is never at work. This place needs someone who can be present consistently. I wish I would’ve known it was little/poor management before we moved in.

When you visit the AMC Living web site (the company that handles the property management), you'll see all kinds of amenities and awesome stuff--DO NOT BE FOOLED. None of this is real, or at least it isn't at the Porto Bella complex in Norwalk. You'll see photos of a DJ playing a pool party--I've lived here a year, this has never happened, nor has anything even CLOSE ever happened. You'll see descriptions that'll have you believe every apartment comes with USB power ports in the wall (not one... apartment at Porto Bella has this), Nest thermostat controls (again, not one apartment at Porto Bella has this), you'll even see claims of on-site movie theaters (again, false), and "over-sized closets" (nonsense--they're just normal-sized closets).

But let's move on from the outlandish and untrue claims made by AMC and get down to the nitty gritty. If you move to Porto Bella, PREPARE FOR YOUR RENT TO GO UP EVERY YEAR, EVEN THOUGH NO NEW AMENITIES ARE ADDED, AND NOT ONE SINGLE MAJOR IMPROVEMENT IS MADE. They raised our rent effective December 1st, just before the holidays. Happy holidays indeed! Only "improvement" I noted in our first year here was that they painted the pool gates with a fresh coat of lovely diarrhea green--yipee! If that one minor "improvement" is why my rent went up $75 a month for the second year, what a joke! While I'm on the subject: The pool here is an absolute disgrace--ALWAYS filthy, cleaned MAYBE once monthly. Literally went to the pool once to find a band-aid floating around. Yuck! They'll also randomly lock the pool gates for days or even weeks at a time, with no notice to tenants, nor even a basic explanation as to WHY. AMC Living site will tell you this is "resort style" living--HAH!

Did I mention the one time they turned the gas off for "planned" repairs, but gave tenants 4 hours notice via papers left on the door (couldn't even tell us to our faces, or email us) , and the gas was off for over 24 hours so no one could cook or take a hot shower? Yeah, that was a thing! While I'm on the subject of hot water, let's discuss the showers. Some days they'll work just fine. Other days, it's absolutely impossible to get any hot water, no matter how long you let it run. But by far the most insidious and annoying problem is that, quite often, while you're enjoying a shower, the temperature will at random SKYROCKET TO SKIN-SCALDING LEVELS with no warning or rhyme or reason. I, Lily Gomez currently live in Porta Bella Apartment and I'm a single mother and just got a note on my door today telling me that my rent was going to go up. I can't afford it anymore. So I hope to be one of the winners for free rent for life. Thank you.

Peaceful and quiet community in Beautiful Long Beach, Norwalk area. Affordable rent, gated, safe, clean, and pet friendly. Moreover, location is great !! Close to Call State University, Long Beach Town Center, and not that far from the beach !! California Rocks :)
