Recent Poor communication with management staff

This is an aesthetically pleasing apartment complex. However, the newest management team members have not always been pleasant to deal with. I have lived here almost three years and continue to have uneasy and unprofessional interactions with one of the assistant property managers. The app used to make payments did not process my last rent payment correctly. I’ve been trying to speak with a manager about this since Wednesday. My calls have been ignored and the email responses I received did not... address my question about to app incorrectly processing my payment. Finally, I went down to the office today to speak with a manager after calling and not receiving an answer. I met with the assistant manager to speak with her about my concern. She was unable to effectively explain why the payment was processed incorrectly. And displayed an attitude as if I the mistake was on my part. When I tried correcting her on something as simple as a date she became argumentative, defensive and laughed at me during several points in the conversation. At one point, her voiced was raised and she pointed at me saying, “you’re not going to do this”. It was just a very unpleasant encounter. When I mentioned reaching out to corporate for answers to my questions, she told me corporate would not talk to me about my issues and only redirect them back to the onsite management. I explained to her that I am able to reach out to the corporate office at anytime I please and have spoken with their staff in the past. At the end of the conversation I told the assistant manager that I would not longer speak with her about any issues I have and would only speak with the main manager. Her response was to smirk and say that’s fine. I also addressed that this person has give me push back in the past but she denied it but also apologized for it. I will address the nature of the conversation I had with the manager with the main manager and the corporate office staff.

Things to know from a long-term tenant

I was a resident here for seven years, from 2018 to 2025. While maintenance was generally quick and I never had any pest issues, I believe prospective long-term tenants should be aware of certain operational challenges.

The most consistent issue was the high turnover among office staff and property managers, with over five managers during my tenancy. This lack of continuity meant that verbal agreements, such as a promise of a free final month's rent, were not honored due to staff changes. This...
underscores the need to get all promises in writing.

Despite paying a $250 security deposit, I was charged $500 for normal wear and tear on flooring and walls after seven years. This included a fee for floor damage that was pre-existing due to an incorrect installation. When I addressed this, I felt the response was dismissive. This policy seems to put long-term residents at a disadvantage, as "wear and tear" is not considered.

Common building issues included frequent elevator outages and complex-wide false fire alarms, which often occurred in the early morning. The community also had confusing and restrictive guest policies, particularly regarding the pool and parking, where guests were not allowed in the main garage and cars were prone to break-ins in other designated spots.

Overall, it wasn't a bad place to live for a short period. However, for a long-term tenant like myself, the high staff turnover, inconsistent policies, and unexpected move-out charges ultimately detracted from the experience.

BELIEVE THE REVIEWS THIS PLACE IS AWFUL

Water out thanksgiving morning, pool closed most of summer including 4th of July weekend, fire alarms going off over 10x in span of 1 year including twice at 3am-5am, staff and management extremely rude and uncaring even hung up on me while trying to get answers so the ever long list of issues with this place

Not maintained. Awful staff. Disgusting property.

Finishings are not maintained. Carpet is never replaced before move in, but you’re expected to pay for replacement after move out! Staff is extremely unprofessional. Property is littered with trash, BUG PROBLEMS, pet waste.

This place is poorly built and maintained.

I have lived here for 6 months and that time the water has been shut off twice for repairs. Elevators have been down 9 times for a total of almost 2 months. There is no management, they don't care. This place was built in a year and they bought everything cheap. Its not luxury. Its a shame as it looks nice on outside but its just a danger zone. They allow people to part in every fire zone for days without care which is a risk to the residents. Worst place I've ever lived.

Stay away if your...
smart.
