Cortland River Oaks

I lived at Cortland River Oaks and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience due to constant noise and ongoing construction. For a large portion of my time living there, there was frequent loud construction noise that made it very difficult to relax or work from home. The noise would often start early in the morning and continue throughout the day. It felt like there was always drilling, hammering, or heavy equipment running nearby. What made it more frustrating was that there was little... communication about how long the construction would last or when the loud work would be happening. As a resident paying premium River Oaks rent, I expected a quieter living environment and better transparency from management. The apartment itself and location are nice, but the constant disruption from construction significantly impacted the quality of life. Love this place! It’s clean, well-maintained and the staff really cares.(I’ve lived all over Houston and this is certainly not always the case.) Highly recommended!

Cortland River Oaks has been home for 15 years and I love it! Location is 1A, close to the Buffalo Bayou, to downtown, to many good restaurants and shops. We have nice gardens and a great pool, plus several services that make our lives easier. The Cortland team is very efficient and friendly!

My husband and I toured 7 complexes along the buffalo bayou. The access from these apartments is by far the best. Plus the complex itself is lush and green and excellently maintained. It’s perfect for our dog. And our leasing agent, Stephanie, was great. She wasn’t pushy like some agents at other communities. The entire staff is wonderful. We couldn’t be happier.

This place has been amazing. Mel and Michelle have been super kind and helpful with any questions I have. The apartments are beautiful and up to date.
