Roaches, Bugs .... inefficient Management
Moved three weeks ago. Found roaches, bugs, ants etc, health concern. Oven extensively used. Dryer get hot and feel the heat is on in the apartment, even doors from inside become wet and may be steam not properly ventilated, could be a safety concern. Balcony grill is rusted. Not a well-managed or well maintained.
Very next day visited the leasing office and verbally communicated about the condition of the apartment and how I rate the apartment. All observations were submitted on the form... provided when we moved in Again, after 2 days visited them to remind about all that, the person there read everything and assured they take care of it and we do n ot have to submit maintenance request. After more than 2 weeks nothing had been done. We with our own effort trying to contain roaches and bugs issue, spraying pesticide which should have been done before we came in.
The management is very unconcerned, inefficient and feel we are irrelevant.
I heard that Cortland is a good property management company, but with this experience it is quiet opposite to it.
with all those serious issues and no response from management, i can say it is horrible and terrible.

Regarding pest control, every apartment is given preventative treatment before someone moves in. Our pest control report shows no activity in your apartment even after you moved in so it is unfortunate to hear you encountered some pests.
