Everything is great except for the utilities. I live in a studio apartment; most week days I leave for work at 7am and come home after 6pm. I spend almost every weekend at my SO’s place downtown. I went from paying ~$120 to ~$270/month after the ownership change when we transitioned from individual meters to centralized meters because some of the meters were broken and would take time to fix (per convos with management staff). I know utilities have gone up all over LA county, but this is... excessive. Just fix the meters and make people pay for what they actually use instead of sending trite emails asking people to be conscientious of the rising utility cost. People who wfh should be able to do so comfortably, but I shouldn’t have to pay for it.
