Cortland Van Dorn

My experience at Cortland Van Dorn, particularly since moving into Apartment 1317, has been extremely disappointing. I have faced one maintenance issue after another, and many of these concerns have not been handled with the urgency or level of care I expected.

The most serious issue has been the ongoing mice problem. A mouse crawled onto me while I was sleeping in my bed, causing me to wake up screaming. This was frightening, unacceptable, and raised serious concerns about the health, safety,... and cleanliness of the apartment. I previously moved from Cortland Landmark because of a similar issue, only to experience an even worse problem at Cortland Van Dorn.

Residents should not have to repeatedly follow up or feel ignored when reporting serious maintenance, pest control, and habitability concerns. I am requesting immediate action, clear communication, and a permanent resolution—not another temporary fix. The apartments are clean and well maintained. The amenities are average, but a good value for the price point.

Building management is rather average for the area.

The internet, provided by the building that you can buy for $70 dollars a month is not great - speeds are low and reliability is spotty. It's stable, but outages can last for several days.

I'm very glad that I settled in Cortland, I've been living for a year and it's very good. My house is clean, I'm especially glad that there are no insects, etc.
I want to thank two office guys, Ibrahim and Ali, who are always ready to help at any time. I appreciate it when employees are so sensitive to their residents. I wish good luck to all Cortland and prosperity

Relocating from New York City and choosing Cortland Van Dorn has been an awesome decision. This community is great to live in.
