Persistent AC Problems and Poor Maintenance

My experience has been very disappointing. The biggest issue is that management rarely responds to maintenance requests. We have submitted multiple work orders, but many receive no response at all, and problems remain unresolved for weeks. In addition, the air conditioning has not worked properly for a long time, leaving the apartment uncomfortably hot. Even after several maintenance visits, the issue has never been fully fixed. Residents should expect slow maintenance, poor communication, and... unresolved repair issues.

Avoid if You Expect Working Air Conditioning

I would not recommend living here. The AC does not work properly, and the apartment regularly reaches 80+ degrees inside, making it extremely uncomfortable to live in. Maintenance has come out multiple times, but the issue still has not been fixed. It’s frustrating to keep reporting the same problem without any real solution. Other neighbors have mentioned experiencing the same AC problems as well, so this does not seem like an isolated issue.

My wife and I retired here from the Phila.area and I was hesitant about the move but I believe living at the Pines is a big reason why I enjoy living in Virginia. I love the quiet atmosphere here . I am out all times of the day and night walking our dog and am amazed at how peaceful and quiet it is in the development .
